Paintings

All paintings, except those classified as primitive or naïve, are by listed American artists and were usually painted from the mid 1800’s through the mid 1900’s. Exceptions will be noted in the text. We do not purchase oil on canvas paintings that need canvas repair work, color inpainting, or enhancement but we will have them professionally cleaned & reframed if necessary. The same with oil on board paintings. Works on paper have been professionally cleaned if necessary, usually backed and rematted with acid free material and reframed. Primitive or naïve paintings, be they oil or works on paper are treated as described above. Each artist whose work we present has been researched and their biography, that we put together, will be posted and given to the painting purchaser.
