Furniture

The furniture that we offer is in our opinion American made and ranges from about 1775 through the 1800’s in date of origin. Its surface condition will be documented; eg, original paint or surface, touch-up or complete repaint, and original or older varnish. We have not had professional surface analysis done, thus, that which we state is in our best opinion. Based upon form, construction techniques, tool marks and reference books, we will offer a period of construction and classification; eg, Country Chippendale, circa 1785-1795. Visible repair or reconstruction done or subsequent loss of parts will also be noted. Wood condition such as, warping, cracks, and breaks beyond what one would reasonably expect from its normal wear and aging process will also be noted and we will comment on hinges, locks, escutcheons, screws, nails and pulls. It is our intention to honestly describe for you the object we offer.
